About me

I am an experienced community leader, practitioner, facilitator, innovator, collaborator and educator with a broad range of knowledge that I want to share! I am deeply passionate about empowering communities to achieve transformative change and realise their aspirations.

Born and bred in West Auckland, I am a proud Westie and have led significant initiatives such as creating West Auckland Together and the West Auckland Funders Network, driving systemic change to build a more connected and resilient community.

My career has been dedicated to fostering capacity, capability, and collaboration to address complex issues. I believe in the power of communities to create and lead their own change, and I have devoted my life to enabling this.

My leadership style emphasises collaboration, bringing together diverse stakeholders, including NGOs, government, businesses, and funders, to co-create solutions that benefit all.

As the former Chief Executive of Sport Waitākere, I rebuilt the organisation from near extinction by fostering resilient leadership, forming strong partnerships, and developing a clear strategic vision. My recent role as General Manager: Community Engagement at The Trusts saw me develop an equity-focused funding strategy prioritising youth, community connection, sustainable environments, and partnerships with Māori and Pacific communities.

Guided by Te Tiriti o Waitangi, I champion equity, inclusion, social and racial justice, ensuring that my work reflects Aotearoa as a treaty-based society. A strengths-based leader, my attributes include strategic thinking, authentic leadership, effective communication, and fostering cultures of diverse and productive collaboration.

Inspired by the belief that “if you want to go far, go together,” I continuously seek meaningful work that aligns with my values and allows me to contribute to a better future for Aotearoa and beyond. A lifelong learner, I thrive on challenges and bring enthusiasm, integrity, and dedication to everything I undertake.

 So, please get in touch.
